Overload

I'm so incredibly busy, but I don't want to do the dishes right now so I'm gonna just give a quick update/outline. I'll talk more about it later, but this'll remind me of what I wanted to talk about.

Monday - Caught up on homework.
Tuesday - attempted to get caught up on housework, had Strattons over for dinner/games, visited with new home teachers, heard from sister that family move to Utah is official.
Wednesday - Slept in, went to Chemistry Lab, packed & cleaned, drove to Phoenix, visited with in-laws.
Thursday - helped family pack, visited with Lyn, packed some more (with help from Laurel and Amber), pulled my stuff out of parents attic, found old treasures, admired dolls that still need a proper home (someday!), transported said boxes to in-laws for storage, saw Harry Potter.
Friday -was reminded how stupid and inconsiderate people can be, helped pack more, went to lunch with Mom Micaela Levi Valerie and Grandpa Collamer, drove to Tucson with Micaela, was late for soccer game, lost soccer game, sent Micaela back to Phx with Kati, got cleaned up, went to girl's night, watched Chocolat, visited with girlfriends w/o Bekah, brought chocolate dipped blueberried back for Daryn, up 'til 2.
Today - Slept in, watched TV, went to Baptism and conducted music, sang duet, played with Bekah, spent quality time with Daryn. Working on chores.

TO DO:
Tonight - Finish dishes & house cleaning, work on homework, go over Sunday School lesson with Daryn.
Tomorrow - help teach sunday school, serve dinner play games with couple from ward, do some reading - of multiple varieties, call sister-in-law and best friend to wish Happy Birthdays.
Monday - meet with lab partner, make presentation due Wednesday, go to Phoenix, spend time with family, help pack more.
Tuesday - go to temple (?), do something special with Grandma Collamer to celebrate hers and Rebekah's birthdays, help family pack more, drive to Tucson.
Wednesday - final Lab, present powerpoint, finish lab reports and online lab work.
Thursday - go back to Phoenix???

Goals to shoot for before summer end:
Read a book for enjoyment, maybe even two.
Buy prints of pictures, send pictures to family members, make 1st Year scrapbook for Rebekah.
Purge School binders of useless papers.
Purge backpack, purse.
File ALL paperwork in "To file" box.
Update blog/facebook with pictures - collect pictures from relatives of events I forgot my camera for
Go on 2 or 3 REAL dates with Daryn (no baby!)
do dishes every day - or at least every other day
make list of signs to teach Daryn so we can teach Bekah
beat next chapter of World of Goo
Get Rebekah on a sleep schedule compatible with my fall school schedule
Find perfect shinguards (like Kati's!)
Find female players for fall soccer season

Now, off to do the dishes!

1st Birthday Party (In Tucson)

Above - Maggie and her daughter Alli
Below - Travis and Wesly

The Dads working on the grill!
Rebekah enjoying her party!
Lots of kids came to celebrate with us!

Including Michael and Gabriel
And Emery
And Joseph
This is Rebekah's best friend, Cairn! She and Rebekah are 2 weeks apart, and this is their shared party at the Splash Park.

Cairn, Alli and Rebekah

I didn't take my camera into the splash pad when I took Rebekah in, but my sister got some pictures of Rebekah and Daryn when he took her back over later in the party. I'll see if she can get those to me. :)

It was an awesome party and we had a lot of fun! The popsicles melted before we gave them out despite our best efforts at keeping them cold, but the kids still loved it. Also I decorated a cake for this, and it was awesome and I didn't take a picture of it before taking it to the park, and the frosting melted and moved around while we were in the car, so it wasn't awesome anymore. :( Oh well, my mother-in-law should have some good ones of the cake I decorated for her Phoenix party - now if only I could get her to send those to me!

Oh, BTW, this is what the splash park looks like: http://www.tucsoncitizen.com/photos/2007/06/05/l53606-5.jpg

Awesome News!

Most of you already know that my sister-in-law Aprilynne Pike is a NYT Bestselling Author, but just recently she's been able to announce some AWESOME news!

Disney is considering making her book, Wings, a movie! And Mylie Cyrus might be the star!
Check out these sites for the official news:
Variety.com
MTV
People

Now, personally, I don't really see Mylie as the perfect Laurel, but it's great news for Wings and for Aprilynne because Mylie's fanbase could really help this book (and my sister's career) go FAR - well, farther than it already has (it's already being published in a number of foreign countries). If any of you have seen AnnaSophia Robb (she's in Bridge To Terabithia), that's who I think looks like Laurel. BUT, Mylie can sing and play the guitar like Laurel (not to say Anna can't, but I just don't know) AND again, she's got that huge fanbase.

So, Congratulations to my sister-in-law, Aprilynne Pike. Her book is awesome, and I'm so happy for her success!

Forgetfulness

This last week was full of activity!

I have a lot of Chemistry homework, but put it off to go to my sister's house on Thursday. We made bows for Rebekah and I practiced decorating a cake (which, BTW, Kati, I should have left for your family b/c we can't eat it fast enough). I don't have pictures, but I will - I promise!

Thursday night we had a some good friends, Sy and Anita, from the ward over for dinner. Daryn made some delicious steaks and Rebekah had fun playing with Rio (about 6 months older) and Gabriel (about 9 months younger).

After that we rushed off to Phoenix. Friday was the last day that my sister, Amy, was in town so I was really looking forward to spending time with her family. Plus, I bought tickets for Wicked months ago and Friday was the night to finally go see the show! On top of that, we had a birthday party for Rebekah on Saturday with our families. So, I was pretty excited!

We got to Phoenix at about 1:30 Friday morning and crashed at my in-laws. Later that day, on our way to my parents house I realized something AWFUL!

I forgot the $500 worth of tickets to Wicked at my apartment in Tucson.

We got to my parents and I frantically searched the internet for the phone number to Gammage. Found it, called it, and got the message saying "Box office is open Monday - Thrusday. Also open in PERSON Friday b/c of Wicked." Or something along those lines.

I felt SO awful, and Daryn drove all the way home to go find my tickets for me. While he was there, I called again and asked him to grab Rebekah's swimsuit - which I forgot - and the cake mix - which I forgot - and to look around for Rebekah's hat and sunglasses - which I thought I forgot. (But the hat was in the laundry and the glasses were in the diaperbag.)

I Forgot to ask him to grab our camera and video camera. I also forgot to have him get Rebekah's headband - the one that was made to clip cute little bows onto. You know, the bows that I worked so hard on at Kati's on Thursday so they would be ready to wear for the party on Saturday.

Seriously, I forgot EVERYTHING! It was really sad.

But my awesome hubby saved me, and I really enjoyed Wicked, and everyone had fun at the Birthday party (I think). We borrowed my brother's video camera, and lots of family members had their cameras so I just need to wait for them all to get back to me with pictures of this weekend.

In the mean time, I'm off to enjoy my last Sunday as the Primary Chorister, and then I'll be doing a TON of Chemistry homework. Let's just hope I haven't forgotten anything else!

EDIT: Pictures from Wicked. Thanks Heidi! :)

Wow, that picture makes my head look big.

1st Birthday Party (In Phoenix)

These are the 3 Keilman Great grandchildren. :) Avery, Rebekah and Topher. We've had a lot of events where 2 of the 3 were present, but this is the first time we've had all 3 of Nana and Pappy's great grandchildren together.

Yay! We get to eat Cake! :)

Rebekah LOVES this Jack-in-the-box that my mom has.

I decorated this cake! :) My mom made and colored the purple frosting for me, and my sister Amy suggested I use cookie cutters to get a good trace on the cake, and then follow the lines. It worked really well!

I love how looking at the above and below photos you can think she was very excited to see a cake behind her! :)

Tiffany and Gage - Gage is just 5 days younger than Rebekah. :) We love them so much!

This ball was one of Rebekah's favorite toys. Thanks Aunt Renee!
lol - she wanted to sit ON the boxes.
By the end, she was really good and unwrapping the boxes! I'm looking forward to Christmas this year. (Note: If you get something for us or Rebekah, wrap it in a box, not a bag! I want her to have pleny to unwrap!) ;)
